Crazy times at Universal Studios Singapore

When Universal Studios Singapore opened last year, I wasn’t really excited. Mainly because of its sheer size. Friends who went said the attractions were disappointing and you can cover everything in half a day.

Honestly, I would rather spend $74 on a nice meal than waste time in a tiny theme park with only one redeeming feature – the Battlestar Galactica.

But my aunt had a free ticket and I couldn’t resist. No way I was going to go alone. So he came along.

Did I have fun? Yes. Would I go again? Definitely not.

If anything – the place is only good for one thing. Picture-taking.

I had a blast. I went crazy. So crazy that I could not resist an air flying kick:

Yep, I am a closet-muay thai fighter wannabe. I kickass.

I was quite violent. After the flying kick, I decided to strangle Fiona.

And I wanted to steal all those gingerbread men. They’re way too cute. Too bad there were people watching.

I now know how it feels like to be eaten by a dinosaur.

And I tried to snatch the huge sandwich from the giant Friar. He was too strong.

We were lucky enough to be able to sit the Battlestar Galactica. It was shutdown last year for maintenance work and opened the weekend I visited USS.

The 90 sec ride was adrenalin pumping. It was scary shit.

All that photo-taking made us hungry. We had to get the 20 inch pizza. Pepperoni no less.

Each slice was bigger than our faces. I had three slices. Okay, I lied.

The last two slices, I only ate the pepperoni and cheese.

Love the decor.

The live singing outside Mel’s Diners was pretty impressive. They sang ‘Hey Mr. Postman’.

I spotted a female Woody Woodpecker.

I was quite delirious when I spotted a life-sized Reese’s!

Life-sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!

I just had to take a bite. I really wished it was real. Sigh.

You can tell I love chocolate. Alot.

I love chocolate

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday I’d say. I heard Universal Studios Korea, which is still under construction will be bigger than all their 15 studios combined. Imagine that. I think it’s 15 times bigger than the one we have in Singapore. It will be ready by 2014. Man, I’m so looking forward to that!
